Which software should I use?

Post by jenniferwantssleep » Tue May 01, 2012 7:26 am

Hi everyone. I received my new PR System One REMstar Auto with A-Flex CPAP machine yesterday. I have figured out how to change the settings and get into doctor mode. Now I am wondering which software I should look at to watch my numbers. I know the info is on the site somewhere but I cannot seem to locate it.
Thanks,
Jennifer

Look in Pugsy's signature for a link to Sleepyhead. Easy to install and use.

You can probably find my signature easy enough but here it is just in case you want it easy.

SleepyHead is easier to manage than the Encore software and actually I think it is better even if it wasn't easier.

Jennifer, how did it go with the software? I have the same machine I think, it is a series 60, and I can't get it to work at all with the sleepyhead software. Every time I run an import I get a message that there is no CPAP machine data imported. Interestingly enough it does obviously read the card, because it at least has been able to read the model of the CPAP machine fine, as in the sleepyhead software it says Philips Respironics System One RemStar Auto with A-Flex (560P) under the machine information section.

I was browsing around and there were other posts from a while back that made it appear that these newer machines aren't compatible with the sleepyhead software yet. So that was why I was wondering how it went for you. If you got it to work I would love to hear how.

As for anyone else, anyone know any tricks or tips on how to get this to work? Or do we need to just wait for another version of sleepyhead. No rush, I know he is doing that dev work for free, so I appreciate that.
