Are my stats ok? Seeing the therapist tomorrow
Hello everyone. Just wanted to say thanks to all of you who helped me in the past. This website truly is a resource. I wanted to know if someone could look at my latest stats. I do not know how to read them. I just wanted some ammunition when I go the the sleep health center tomorrow. I saved the pdf file here... http://www.nickbrennan.com/doc1.pdf
Also I work the night shift and usually go to sleep in the morning at around 8am or 9am so the data might look a bit strange. Also I think I am leaking a good amount. I've tried tightening the velcro straps. Is there a way to get the mask more secure than it is now? Also is breathing through the mouth when sleeping ok? Or should I try with my nose? Any tips?
How can I set the clock on my machine correctly for going to be in the morning?
Thanks again everyone, I appreciate the help.

Set the clock on the machine 12 hours off to accommodate working nights.
Normally a new day with the ResMed machines starts at 12:00 noon...
So set it so that all your sleep time is within 1 day and not 2 (morning and afternoon).
So when it is 12 noon...set the machine at 12 midnight...or 11 PM or whatever it takes to get your hours of sleep to fall within a single day and not 2 days.. Then your reports won't show all the fractures and it will be easier to evaluate the greater than 4 hours of sleep thing.
Leak summaries point to some leaks that could use some improvement but kind of hard to know for sure what the actual leak line is from these graphs.
95% means that for 95% of the time you were at or below this leak number.
ResMed's line in the sand is 24 L/min...so you want to be well below the red line for the bulk of the night.
Your overall 95% number is 28.8. I prefer to always have a 95% number below 24 L/min..that way I know for sure that the bulk of the night my leak is not excessive.
When the leaks are above the 24 L/min line...the machine can miss sensing some events and possibly give you a false low AHI.
Best thing would be to evaluate your recent usage individually in regards to amount of leak instead of trying to look at a years worth of summary data.

That sounds good. How can I go about doing this?Best thing would be to evaluate your recent usage individually in regards to amount of leak instead of trying to look at a years worth of summary data.
Re: Are my stats ok? Seeing the therapist tomorrow
Look at your individual detailed daily result graphs in ResScan.
Have you not seen that section?
Or you can use SleepyHead which doesn't require going to another section like ResScan does.
Have you see the ResScan tutorial? It shows how to get to the different areas of the reports.

Here is an example of a horrible leak line for me...I was experimenting with something.
This thread of mine...right click on image...choose "view image" and you can see the right side that is cut off initially. See second large image..that is the ResScan report and if you look at the tab...it says "detailed graphs".

I've never been able to figure out how to "set the clock" on my S9. Any help? Thanks, as always.

Time and date are under the "Options" choices in the clinical menu. Time is military time...like 6 AM is 06:00. All explained in the provider/clinical manual. Don't have one? You can request one here. http://www.apneaboard.com/adjust-cpap-p ... tup-manual Scroll down to the bottom for information on how to request a clinical manual via email.RogerAN wrote:I've never been able to figure out how to "set the clock" on my S9. Don't know how to get to the clinical setup menu? This link explains how with pictures.

Re: Are my stats ok? Seeing the therapist tomorrow
Is there a way to change the machine so that a reported day is not noon to noon? I am a severe night owl and sleep past noon almost every day. If I can't change the "date" change time, then I will have to change the time setting of the machine which will then incorrectly report all my times. That means that anytime I look at data, I will have to mentally change the time in my mind to make it make sense. I would have to change the clock by 3 or 4 hours to make my "night" fit within one day. It would be much easier if I could set the "day change" for 4pm. Then all my times could still be accurate, and the machine would count a full night as one night. Is this possible?

Who would have thought it would be this challenging to sleep and breathe at the same time?

You could change 12 midnight to 12 noon on the S9's clock, so that the day resets at midnight, before you go to sleep, so your night fits in one day.

Re: Are my stats ok? Seeing the therapist tomorrow
There is no way to change ResMed machine's 12 noon thing.
Your only alternative is to alter the clock time.
At least you won't have broken up reports and they will all be consolidated as they should.
