Re: anyone used a wrist sleep monitor ?
If you mean like the FitBit, then, yes, I have used it. It can only measure motion, so if you don't move it thinks you are sleeping. I can lie there an hour before the pain is so bad, I have to move, and the Fit Bit always says I was asleep in 4 or 5 minutes and woke up after an hour.
But it's very useful as a pedometer.

Wasn't there a pillow/teddy bear from Japan that kind of did that too?

FWIW, from the Zeo website:

Headband vs. wrist
Hello Cathy,
Devices worn on the wrist actually use an accelerometer to monitor the movement of the user to determine sleep phases and duration (essentially, if you're not moving, you're sleeping). Zeo actually monitors brainwaves to determine sleep phase, which is why it must be worn on the forehead. Hope that helps!

Thanks people I guess that answers my question. Looks like the ZEO Bedside is the go for me.

I just picked up a Zeo from Amazon. They had a pretty good deal for the bedside version. I have run it 5 or 6 nights now. Interestingly, the first two nights I used it were the worst two nights that I have had in 6 months. Since then, I am back to normal, getting Zeo scores in the low 80's. So far, the Zeo is showing that I get about 30% less REM than what is typical for my age group, that my REM is somewhat fragmented (6 smaller sessions rather than 3 longer sessions), and that I am getting almost no deep sleep (around 10 minutes per night on average). Now I am curious how accurate this is, and if there is anything I can do to solve these issues?
