Bed pillow for CPAP?

Post by Heavylids » Tue Apr 17, 2012 1:10 pm

I didn't fnd too much in a search for bed pillows on the site. I'm a side sleeper and have been looking at the CPAP bed pillows. Is this a good idea and is there a particular brand I should try? I can see how it would help keep the mask in place overnight.

I think you have already heard Contour CPAP pillows, I bought one today and will try tonight.
Hoping that it will help me to get rid of leaks and uncomfiness during my side-sleep.
Have a look if you havent yet:

Here are a couple of selections from our host:

Some folks use a sobakawa pillow--either buckwheat or foam beads.

The forum search engine leaves a lot to be desired.
If you search for buckwheat bed pillow it leads to many threads where various bed pillows are discussed.
Here are just a few.

I am a mostly side sleeper and I use a buckwheat pillow. Helps my poor old arthritic neck and yet allows me to make a nest for my mask. Bed Pillow preference is as individual as mask preference. What is one man's treasure is another man's nightmare.

I like Sobakawa® Cloud Pillow™, got the full size version and used one of the coupons I got from Bed Bath and Beyond. I push the beads around and make a space for the mask. Works very well and half the cost of the cpap pillow.

Just my pillow talk

I have a bead pillow from BB&B, but it's too tall--gives me a stiff neck.
I've been thinking about making a bead pillow with softer cheek hollows.
I have lots of the beads--(clearance carrot squish pillows from Shopko--27 of them)
When I go to fill it, I'll have to do it outdoors--maybe on a windy day--
