Doctor Got me a loaner and I feel great!!

Post by awritersmind1 » Sun Apr 15, 2012 8:32 am

Hi everyone!

So my doctor and one of his main technologists worked with me and got me an Auto CPAP loaner to provide proof to the insurance that I need my own. Been using it for... 5 nights now I believe. I feel SO much relief already!! It's so amazing! You all have to find a way to stick with your treatment! I'm only 22 and I've spent my whole life being tired and miserable. I believe I've had apnea for the duration, just no one would listen to me and test me until now. I feel so much more refreshed. I went from waking about every 30 minutes all night to now just wakening to adjust the mask when it shifts and gets a minor leak and moving the hose, and brief few second awakenings like that.

If you can find a way to work through it in the beginning, you will feel SO much better! It really is worth the effort to find a set-up that will work for you.

Good luck to everyone starting out!

Congratulations. Despite my mumblings I am very happy that you see such remarkable improvement so soon.

And here I go off mumbling...."another over night miracle person....I am pea green with envy again".

Congrats, I'm 27 and know exactly how your feel in terms of having no one listen to you about feeling tired all the time. They just told me I was a perpetual grump lol

Good luck for the future

Good.

Next step when you get your own machine is to absolutely make sure you get one that is compatible with one of the softwares so that you can optimize your therapy and keep it optimized.

Be very careful about which machine you accept delivery of. Ask for details in the forum if there is the least bit of uncertainty.
