humidifier is not working on Remstar M series

Post by silkyone » Sat Apr 14, 2012 10:25 am

My doctor has order another cpap machine for me at a higher level of pressure (was 10 now 14). I reset my old cpap machine(Remstar M series) to the new pressure but now my humidifier will not work and I will not receive my new unit for another 5 days. I need the humidifier to work because it is drying out my nose. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance for you help.

The pressure change shouldn't have anything to do with the humidifier working or not (as you know). Start by double checking the power connections on the back, since changing the pressure involves disconnecting the power.

Did you change anything about the position of the machine, does it have plenty of airflow around it? My Respironics has a setting to turn the humidifier on or off in the setup, could this have accidently been changed? You could try a saline nasal spray or soem Ayr gel in the interim.
