Encore Viewer 2.0 help

Post by Smackythefrog » Sat Apr 07, 2012 12:43 pm

Hello folks. This is my first post. I have tried various searches on this subject but none of the fixes help. When I insert the card in the card reader & click on "Download from Device" I get a message saying "not valid & not saved". I have updated drivers etc. but no luck. If I open the card reader I see folders. I do not see individual files. I don't know if there are supposed to be separate files or not. I just got the machine & software so I have only used it about 3 weeks. I am running Windows 7 Home 64X & have transferred the program files as suggested in another post, so the program runs on my laptop. I just cannot get it to read the card. The only date showing on the calender is today's date (April 7, 2012). My CPAP machine recognizes the card when inserted also. If anyone can help with suggestions I would be extremely thankful.
Sorry for the long winded post.

I don't know what the problem with Encore might be. Or if the problem is somehow with your SD card reader.

I would suggest that you consider downloading SleepyHead and seeing if SH can read the card. (SH is more user friendly and runs much faster than EV does and SH provides more data as well.

If neither SH nor EV can read the card, there may be something wrong with the SD card itself. Is the card locked? Does the card look a bit worn or beat up? Replacing the SD card is straightfoward: Just go to a Walmart or Office Depot type store and look for a 1 or 2 Gig card that is a plain SD card, not one of the new SDHC cards. They are usually pretty cheap (under $10).

If neither SH nor EV can read the new card, then there may be a problem with either your SD card reader on the computer OR there may be a problem with the machine writing to the card.

And by the way, which System One REMstar are you using? The data recorded varies from model to model.

Ahh..your problem is that EncoreViewer 2.0 is not compatible with your PR S1 60 series machine.
Give me a couple of minutes and I will send you some information on EncoreBasic which will work with the new 60 Series machine. It will give you all the data that your machine gathers including wave form that Viewer doesn't give the regular PR S1 machine users. With EncoreBasic there is zero need for Encore Pro which BTW needs version 2.8 for getting the 60 series machines to give up the data.

Don't bother with SleepyHead at this time. Jedimark is working on getting SH up to date with the new model of machines but it isn't there yet.

Check your Private Message box.
