Graphs using Performance Maximizer software

I purchased the Fisher & Paykel Performance Maximizer software to read the data from my Sleepstyle 254. The tables appear in the report, however, none of the graphs appear.

On the left top of the pages that should have graphs, it says "QCChart2d Trial 1.5.0.10."

In the middle of the pages that should have graphs, it says: "Either Your license to use QCChart2D class library has expired, or the software cannot find the license file QCLicense.lic.xml. You need to subscribe or resubscribe to eliminate the message. http://www.Quinn-Curtis.com.

Has anyone had this problem? Does anyone know a solution?

Not many Performance Maximizer users here. Sounds like something has expired and you likely need a new code of some sort to activate things again.
If this was a trial version (often set time limit) then once the time limit has expired things become non functional. Have you checked with F & P since you purchased the software?

I'm in the software business but no NOTHING about the Fisher & Paykel Performance Maximizer. Software companies often license graphic controls (components that draw charts) from other companies. With those graphic controls come sometimes "license files" that turn the graphics controls from demo mode to full feature mode. This latter part has "gone wrong" with the charting component in your Fisher & Paykel Performance Maximizer. Since you paid for your license, you likely have some rights to "support" or remedy of this problem from whom you bought the software or from whomever wrote the Fisher & Paykel Performance Maximizer software. You might look about the menus (such as "Help") for whom to contact for Support and they will likely know what is going on and how to fix it.

Just a guess.

PS: Judging by the web site you supplied, Quinn-Curtis is probably just the provider of the chart control to the software company who is the provider of the software to you. That is, you probably don't want to contact Quinn-Curtis, but the software company who is the provider of the software to you.

Thanks for your advice. I did buy the regular version of the software. I haven't yet called the manufacturer because I believe the retailer is not supposed to sell the software to patients. However, if I cannot get the graphs to work, I may have to do so.

I can vouch for the error message, I get the same thing (Windows 7, 64 bit).
There is at least a few dozen of us on here that have the full version of the software.
I started using it with Windows XP and it worked fine, the graphs would display without issue.
Really, not sure why they do not display as they should... Played with it for a bit then simply gave up.
according to F&P (I had someone that works there a few years back, not sure if they still do or not)
it is supposed to work fine under Windows 7, but I never pursued it.

It may have been an installation issue, especially in the case of SW written for XP running in WIN7 or Vista.

Three thing s to try:
1) When running the application, right click the icon and "Run as Administrator"
2) When installing, right click the icon and "Run as Administrator"
3) Reinstall it on some branch not below Program files, or Program Files (X86). I have a folder "not_7_Ready" on the root of C: for such software.

I now get the graphs. Based upon the advice given here, I decided to install it on a
Windows XP computer. That worked.

I know that this thread is old but wanted to get a good answer in getting the graphs to show on Windows 7 64 bit machine. After installing the software and reconfiguration I copy the QCLicense.lic.xml from C:\Windows\SysWOW64 to the root of your boot drive which is usually the C:\ The issue is that the software, Performance Maximizer is a 32 bit program and some parts were installing to the C:\Windows\SysWOW64 which is used for 32 bit programs. The software could not find the license and copying the QCLicense.lic.xml to the C:\ or root allows the program to find it, problem solved.

That would be 32 bit, rather than 24. I bet that the graph components were "hard coded" to look in the C:\Windows\System or C:\Windows\System32 folder, but since you installed on a 64 bit system, that xml file went into SysWOW64 folder and it could not find it. By putting it into "C:\" you put it in the search "Path" in Windows and thus was found and the skies turned blue, birds chirped and daisies bloomed.

The Marvels of Microsoft:

C:\Windows\System (16 bit software goes here on 64 bit systems)
C:\Windows\System32 (64 bit software goes here on 64 bit systems... eh? It says 32?! Yup! Just accept the non-obvious...)
C:\Windows\SysWOW64 (32 bit software goes here on 64 bit systems... but it says 64! Ya, it does, heh)

Makes perfect sense (NOT) lol
