Try these instructions:

Den

Press the plus and minus buttons simultaneously--while plugging in the machine--the LCD shows the pressure setting along with an icon of a open padlock. There is no beep but one can then adjust the settings.

To move between options, one presses the ramp buttons and adjusts the increment with the plus and minus buttons.

Press On/Off button to exit setup.

We don't know what mask you're using, but if you're using some type of a nasal mask, make sure you're not leaking therapy air out your mouth. Increasing pressure if you're leaking air will only result in more leaking air and virtually no benefit to the increased pressure.

Good luck.

Pretty good increase from 9 to 12 in one leap when you have used 9 for so many years. It's going to feel a whole lot different than 9 cm.
Perhaps smaller increases and work up to 12 if needed. You might get lucky and not need the 12 cm to fix your issues. Maybe 10 cm for a week and see how you do. Then maybe another 1 cm for another week.

I agree with Pugsy.......make the increases small and slow.
About six years ago I tried a 2 cm. pressure increase (from 10 to 12) and the first night I didn't sleep worth a darn. The next night was a bit better.

Isn't ramp just the amount of time to get up to full pressure and then it stays at that pressure through the night?

I turned my ramp completely off as I was not getting enough air into my lungs with the ramp time, I felt choked. So off went the Ramp setting

Yan,

What setting are you using for your heated humidifier?
Too much heat/humidity can actually cause nasal congestion/restriction and can make it feel like suffocation.
If you're using a higher setting, try a lower one or even turning the HH off.
Doing nasal cleansing before bedtime will also help. You need to be able to breathe before going to bed.
For what it's worth, my heated humidifier is turned "Off" year round. I like the cool air and it allows me to be able to breathe better.

According to the user manual, here are the settings for that machine/and humidifier.

Heater Settings:
0 = off
1 = 113° F
2 = 122° F
3 = 131° F
4 = 140° F
5 = 149° F
