Anyone else having problems logging in?

Post by Bookbear » Sun Mar 18, 2012 10:04 pm

For the past three days, I've had to log in each time I come here, even though I check 'Log Me In Automatically Each Visit'. 'Tis a puzzlement.

Bookbear,

I have not had that happen, but when wierd things start happening like a post I am submitting gets eaten by the CPAP goblins or when the page refreshes after clicking to go back to the board index page and I get some server error, I just go to the bottom of whatever page I am on here and select to 'Delete all board cookies' and that usually takes care of it. You will need to log in again and select to be loged on automatically, your Bigger or Smaller font will need to be re-adjusted to whatever you had it at, but everything should work well until the next time the CPAP gremlins raise their troublesome little hoses

John

That's right, you need to erase all the cookies from this site. Once I was unable to log in as if my password was no more good, somebody suggested me to erase the cookies and that solved the problem.

And YES at times, many times their system hangs with a error code. At the same time cpap.com is also out with the same problem, if you will notice the places your browser has to visit
to load the forum is massive, it looks like everyone has a piece of it's action, not a good way to host a sight, but probably cheap. Jim

this happened to me one time and i couldn't fix it by deleting cookies or restarting. i had to reset explorer to default settings to fix it. i guess somehow i or the phantoms in the machine turned off automatic logging in. if nothing else helps, this might.

Thanks for this, I have been having this problem for ages even though my name and password are right.
as only slow speed service (apart from expensive satellite ) is available where i live it is very frustrating, everything seems to take forever!

I avoid automatic login.
The problem that really bugs me is when I cannot even get in to this site at all.
It usually happens on weekends. My guess: _________-gremlins.

Are you trying to log in by iPhone, by any chance?

I don't know why, but every once in a while my iPhone settings change themselves from "Accept Cookies: Always" to "Accept Cookies: Never". And then I can't log in.

If it's on the iPhone, go to Settings and Safari to find the proper menu to fix this.

Very annoying, but at least I know how to fix it now.

BTW--if anybody notices I use a strange word or misspell more than usual, it's a sure bet I'm on my iPhone! That darn autocorrect is a PITA sometimes! I generally don't fire up my computer at home anymore, becuase it's so convenient on the iPhone, but sometimes it makes me look stupider than I really am.
