I still have a lot of events should I talk to doctor

Post by noSLEEPforYOU » Sun Mar 18, 2012 6:00 pm

about increasing pressure? I am currently at 17 but I keep having an average of 11 to 25 OA a night. Last night I had 32 although none of them lasted for more than 20 seconds. I slept for 7.5 hours and then made the mistake of going back to sleep without the mask. I was reading a magazine and woke up two hours later.
The AHI is 1.37 according to sleepyhead.
Has anyone been able to upgrade from 9.1 version of sleepyhead? I have tried multiple times and it always fails.

Yes you need to go back to the doctor. Your AHI should be under 5.
You may be on the wrong kind of machine.

Your AHI of 1.37 is great. Drs are happy with an AHI of less than 5. Most of us try to get it below that if we can and would be delighted with one as low as yours. If someone only had 5 events per hour in a sleep study (without a machine), they would not be diagnosed with sleep apnea. I think the previous poster thought the 25 events was per hour instead of per night. You are doing great.

Vista or Windows 7? If so you need to open SleepyHead under the "run as administrator" choice.
Go to your Start Menu...instead of left clicking to open SleepyHead...right click mouse...when menu pops up choose "run as administrator"...this opens SleepyHead with administrator privileges and the update will work.

If not Vista or Win 7....I have no idea why it would fail.

Your AHI is great, but if you're not feeling well, see the doc.
