F&P 254 'apnea cap' setting?

Hello again all,
After searching this topic for some time, I had to try asking on my own.
I know there are a few threads here that mention this 'apnea cap' feature/setting on the Fisher & Paykel machines (at least on the 254), and to quote a few posts, it's a "changeable parameter" and "set by default at 10 cmH2o"... but I cannot for my life see any such setting on my 254.
My PerformanceMaximizer software reports consistently show this 'apnea cap' to be set at 0.0 (?!) and I cannot find anywhere on the LCD screen or in the software to change it to this supposed 10 cmH2o default. Nothing in the PDF manual, the hardcopy manual or the software mentions changing (or even really explaining) this 'apnea cap', only that it's set at dead zero on my 254 when it ought to be at 10.
Is this in any way affecting my therapy or numbers?
Am I just dumb and overlooking some obvious answer (Lord knows it wouldn't be the first time...)?

for some reason they have now disabled that feature. it wont effect your therapy tho.
it just means your machine will respond throughout the whole pressure range its set at

Wonder why they stopped offering that stat. Maybe it was just arbitrary enough that they figured it wasn't really helping or hurting, and was therefore needless.
At any rate, I am glad it's not affecting anything to have it at 0. I just want to be going about everything the right way, hehe!

I can't compare because it's the first I've ever used (just started therapy a few weeks ago) but I must agree it's a great machine -- it's well-built, very quiet and I think a solid performer.

Thanks to the person who asked this question and the person who answered it. I, too, unsuccesfully tried to set the sleep apnea cap in the Fisher & Paykel 254. I couldn't figure out why it didn't work. I wondered what I was doing wrong. Now I know I don't have to worry about it.
