air on my face

Post by TEACH33 » Sun Mar 11, 2012 4:24 pm

I've only had my machine for 4 nights. Think I'm doing ok, but seems there is a lot of air exhausting at the front of nasal pillows and blowing on my face. Tech at DME commented when I got supplies that it was not a leak there - but it seems excessive. Is this normal?

Venting out the normal vent holes is normal. Depending on pressures used...it can seem to be quite a lot and some masks seem to vent "harder" than others even at the same pressures.
If it is hitting your face it is bouncing off something...bed covers, your arm or maybe the bed pillow. There are hose management systems designed to help with hose placement and keep the venting going away from the face.
Here is one. There are tons more that you can make or buy.
