Finally had an appointment with the DME

Post by noSLEEPforYOU » Thu Feb 23, 2012 6:37 pm

After a month of calling and emailing I finally had an appointment to get a new mask. My primary doctor was totally worthless and my Pulmonologist made a few calls but my Urologist of all doctors ripped them a new posterior. He called and threatened to be a witness to a lawsuit if they didn't do there job. He told them that my apnea was affecting my T levels and my health and if they didn't resolve the problem immediately his lawyer would be the next call.
My phone was ringing within a minute and they wanted to come to the job I was on. I went to their office and had a bunch of people tripping over each other to get another mask.
Why do we have to threaten people to get them to do their job?
Well after trying on about twenty masks I left with a mirage Liberty and Fisher Paskel flexfit 432. Apparently they can't sell any mask that I tried on.
I brought my old mask to show them how bad it was leaking and they acknowledged that It wasn't doing anything because all the pressure was escaping.
Well I sure hope I can finally start therapy after waiting four months.
How do you post images on here? I snipped sleepyhead to show how bad the leaks were but I can't get it to work.

I use screen shots. We have to host them on the web and use the url address.
This is how I do it.

Open the image to full size so it is easily read.
I use Vista snipping tool to create a screen shot and crop the image at the same time.
Prt/scr key will also take a screen shot if using XP. If laptop is used sometimes the Fn key has to be pushed at the same time as the prt/scr key
I think windows 7 Home Premium has the snipping tool, Basic may not.

Once the screen shot is created save it in jpg format.
Upload the image to a host site. I use Photobucket it is free, there are others.
Once the image is uploaded then copy the ENTIRE IMG address. Be sure to include the opening and closing IMG in brackets. Paste that copied address into a post here.
Use the preview button. If you can't see the image try again because if you can't see it we can't.
