Just got a Remstar pro2 cflex.....my sleep study to re-evaluate my setting indicated I slept best at a 19 setting.....My machine got upgraded to the Remstar....with heated humidification. After 4 hours sleep, woke up with a raging sinus .......can't stop sneezing....and no sinus over the counter medicine is working. The question is, should I have gradually moved from my setting of 8 to 19....if so, how do I adjust this machine. Should I use warm humidification or cool????? Right now I am miserable!!!!!
cpap setting at 19 and my sinuses are raging...HELP!!!

I am a newbie - 2 weeks so I have limited experience but I went thru a similar experience getting adjusted to the Swift Nasal Pillow system.
I found that having the HH is necessary at least to give your sinuses a break.
What kind of mask are you using? I am titrated at 9 but my nose rebelled with pian and running and dripping all day. I upped the humidity and alternated with my Nasal mask. MY nose is adjusting gradually to the pressure. You may be in the same situation especially with the higher pressure.
Good luck.

From 8 to 19? That is a tremendous jump.
Yes, turn your humidifier up - as high as it will go (but watch out for rainout).
At a pressure of 19, I would have thought the doctor would have put you on a bi-pap.
Call the doctor, or whoever put you at 19. Ask about lowering the pressure a bit. Better to lower it to where you can tolerate it than not to use it at all.
