started out using a Resmed Mirage Micro mask with a medium insert which created either red marks or sores on my nose. I've been refitted with a larger insert which I've been told should move the pressure points father out on my face which I've been told should get rid of both the red marks and sores (at least that's I've been told). At the same time I got the new larger insert I took a Resmed Mirage Softgel to try. On the plus side the softgel is really comfortable and has not left any marks or sores on my nose. Although it is heavy and a bit larger in size I've not had any problem adjusting to the Softgel. On the down side, because of the size the mask tends to leak when I attempt to sleep on my side and the mask has to rest on my pillow. One thing that has been suggested is that a CPAP pillow might help prevent the mask from leaking as the pillows have a cut out or an indention in the pillow for the mask.
So.... If any of you have used a CPAP Pillow can you tell me all you can about the brand pillow you have and whether you would recommand one and why?
Need advice/input on CPAP pillows
Re: Need advice/input on CPAP pillows
am not familiar with that mask but at least this will bump you back up the page. Maybe if you tried tying a stretchy piece of
something around it to help stabilize it. I always use a length from a nylon stocking, leg from pantyhose that type of weight, when using my breeze or CL2 masks it seems to hold it in and stop it from moving when on your side. Also you could go on the search engine at the top of the page and read some old posts that will doubtless cover this. I seem to remember that there are whole sections of tips for several different masks so its a great place to start. good luck
