Crazy!!!

Post by Kairosgrammy » Wed Feb 08, 2012 6:21 am

I am a 100% compliant with cpap use and have been using one for years and years. Every night I've gone to bed with the mask on and woke up the next morning with the mask still on. Last night, I went to sleep with the mask on. This morning I woke up with the mask slid up to my forhead. I have nasal pillows, resmed swift fx. Now I do this when I'm awake, usually the first 10 minutes before I fall asleep, when I need to blow the schnoz or wake up thirsty and want a sip of water but then it goes back where it belongs. This morning, I woke up with it around my forehead. I checked my data and apparently only had it on for 15 minutes near as I can figure.
Today is not going to be a good day, I'm sure.

I've had a couple of nights like that. My only guess is that sometimes we move oddly during the night, and it's not like it's glued in place =)

I woke up the other morning like that....had my Fx pushed up to the top of my nose! I've done that one before, so have no clue why I did it that night and data said I'd only slept about 3 hours with it on! I was told when first joining the forum and these "unexplainable" things happen it's to be blamed on Aliens!!

It's those darn space aliens again. They just don't cover their tracks after the midnight abductions the way they used to.

Well, I feel much better now. Aliens, whew! I'd hate to think I did that.

Yes this is the busy season for Aliens. You either had one that was still in a drunken stupor from the Super Bowl, or just has a wicked sense of humor. Tonight should be a better night for you.

The aliens paid me a visit a while back and when they put the mask back on me...they stuck the nasal pillow in my ear and left it there. Woke up with wind tunnel blowing in my ear. No telling where they will put it now that I am using the Bella Loops.. Maybe I don't want to know......

You'd think the aliens would have a human CPAP class right around the time they have the class for probes!

recently i woke up in the middle of the night to the sound of a blowing cpap...my first thought was, gosh my home heater sure has gotten loud. then my second thought was oh my, my hose disconnected from the mask and is lying on the floor! i quickly hooked it back up. a few days later i got really curious how long i was disconnected for, so i downloaded my data for that night....it had been disconnected for.........nine seconds! LOL

Well, I'm happy to report that the Aliens went somewhere else last night!!! I slept soundly all night with the best AHI I've ever had. It was .18. Hah, I rock. ALIENS, stay away. I wonder if you can have ALIENS exorcised?

Don't feel bad, on Tuesday night I got up as usual to pee, went back to bed and forgot hook my hose back up to my mask. When I checked my stats in the morning to see how long I was off the hose, it read 2 1/2 hours, no bloody wonder I felt like crap yesterday I was off the hose from 2 am to 4:30 when I woke up with the "I can't breath sensation" & thought the power had gone out....but no it was just stupid me.
Started cpap in 2010.. still at it with great results.

I'm so envious, that you all sleep through these alien visits, I hear them as soon as they enter my home then boom I'm awake,"damn alien" quit moving my mask! At least you're all getting a few zzzzzzzeeeezees. How do you sleep through those visits?

LOL, it's a talent. At least most days. Alien gets me, I feel rotton the next day although I'm oblivious while they are there.

I would be tempted to leave out some jalapeno poppers and beer, but DH would just finish it off before he comes to bed.
