Last night was my first night on my new S9 autoset machine. It went pretty well, better than I expected for the first night. The squeak of the mask elbow was a bit annoying, but found a tip to put olive oil on it, and squeak is gone.I am trying to decipher the Sleepyhead report. For some reason I am not able to upgrade the software to the latest version. Keeps saying the upgrade failed. Anyway, I don't recall waking up more than a couple of times. Below is some of the info from the summary report:
AHI 1.65 1.65 1.65 1.65 1.65
Hours per Night 07:52 07:52 07:52 07:52 07:52
Pressure 8.00 8.00 8.00 8.00 8.00
Average Leaks 0.80 0.80 0.80 0.80 0.80
95% Leaks 8.40 8.40 8.40 8.40 8.40
Not sure what the leak stuff means exactly.
I was able to get to the clinician screens okay, but is there a way for me to change the mode from CPAP to AUTO, or do I have to have my DME do it?
Going to search this forum for tips on cleaning. Have to find a method and routine that works well, so I can get in the habit.
I have learned so much already from this group. Every person so far along that process was pretty amazed about how much I knew already, but it is thanks to all of you that it happened!

When you are in the clinician menu, use the knob to select and save by rotating to what you want, press it to highlight it in orange, then rotate to change...

Re: My first night!
As long as your leak rate is under 24... you are ok. I don't accept it, but I have a night with leaks 2 or 3 time a month. All the rest are 0. The Quatro mask is popular, but seems to leak a lot.
I wipe down my mask every morning with either cpap wipes or pamper thick wipes for sensitive skin. Be sure to use wipes that are alchohol-free and aloe-free. The alchohol will deteriorate the mask plastic and the aloe will leave a film. On Saturday's I scrub the mask with baby shampoo and a toothbrush. Then I let the mask soke for a few hours. Rinse well.
Straight cpap mode and auto-pap mode are on-going debates here. Some folks feel better with cpap mode, while others feel better with auto pap mode. The auto pap mode may be more comfortable, but can wake you up when full-throttled. Either way, its a comfort thang'. You may feel better with one mode and not as good on the other mode.

Re: My first night!
Thanks! I will find some of those wipes tomorrow. That will be much quicker in the morning as I get ready for work at 4:00 AM. Since there is no real harm, I have it on autoset for tonight and upped the humidity a bit. Felt like I could spit cotton balls this morning...
