New Mac Drop of SleepyHead 0.9.2 Beta

Post by Breathe Jimbo » Sat Feb 04, 2012 2:47 am

A new Mac beta drop, 0.9.2-2, has been uploaded to sourceforge:

https://sourceforge.net/projects/sleepy ... %20Builds/

Please give it a thorough thrashing. Among other things, please check:

1. The accuracy of session times for newly imported data; and

2. How the SleepyHead readings compare to ResScan readings.

Thanks Jimbo.

Two issues. I thought I had an earlier .0.9.2 but the file name was SleepyHead-0.9.0-beta-macosx-full.dmg. Anyway it crashed during the auto check for update.

Also mac icon isn't wearing its mask.... That isn't a very good sheep.

Another issue that might be for JediMark to look at,

I've changed machines so now every time I get a message of "This date comes from another machines to what's usually imported, and has overlapping data. ...." Is there a way to reset the usual import serail number to the latest data?

Is there anyway to put some sort of clamping on the leak data.... the leak when I wake up screws up the pretty graphs.

I couldn't get sleepyhead to update to the new version ( mac latest software )The old one was removed and the new one installed successfully. Is there a way to have the program point to the data in the documents folder, sleepyhead file data and access it.

I just got SH up and running a few days ago and still trying to find my way around, should I try the up date when I don't know what's what yet?

Can you kind of point us towards what's changed and/or been added?

Also, I was kinda hoping for an option to turn on the ResMed red line in Leaks, but don't see that in Preferences.

Try reimporting.

It won't import the sleepyhead data from : documents> sleepyheaddata>profiles> then each each user. I was able to go back to my old saved datalog files and import the data from there successfully.
Is there something that I'm missing. The prior betta program found and installed the data on it's own. Would it have worked if I went a little further and clicked on the resmed folder in each user? Then imported.

1) I have not had this problem with the new beta. As soon as I installed and opened it, it immediately pointed me towards the existing data through the Select Profile window.

2) However, as in the previous version, whenever it opens and checks for further updates, or when I check manually via the Preferences, I still get this error message via Growl:

"The was an error parsing the XML update file."

3) I am still trying to learn the ins and outs of the options if any. Specifically, I wish for/search for an option which lets me elect the type of graphing method to display. For example, I would like the option to display:

a) Event flags like they are displayed in ResScan with the sign standing up with numbers in the signs. Much more visually alerting and quicker to convey more information to the brain;

b) In SleepyHead, I like the bar graphs that are used to display AHI, Usage and Session Times in Overview and wish I would have the option to display other graphs like Pressure, Leaks etc. like that in Overview;

c) In SleepyHead, in Daily view, I would like the option of displaying AHI the way that Mark Pressure and the graphs below it are shown.

Others may feel differently, but this option of changing the way graphs are displayed would be great because for different people it seems more visually impacting and quickly understandable as suggested.

Thank you so much for all this wonderful work!

Regards, Nate

I found another problem on the mac version.

On the statistics page, make the window narrow and move the mouse around in the "Changes to Prescription" table and a horizontal scroll bar will show up on the bottom of that page and disappear as you move the mouse into other rows. The creation and destruction of that scroll bar may be causing a memory leak.

Are you running Lion? If so, have you set the preference to show scroll bars "always"? Lion changed the default behavior of scroll bars.

No. I'm on 10.5.8.
The scroll bar doesn't match what is on the screen so I'm guessing its something in the one of the deeper objects thinking it won't all fit, so create the scrollbar and then as the mouse is moved, its like its sizing it for the line of data, not the width of the screen. I noticed it and "top" in another window noticed sleepyhead was increasing in memory size as I was trying to figure out how to duplicate the problem.

10.6 is the minimum for which I can build. I seem to recall Mark saying that 10.6 is also the minimum supported by the current Qt SDK. You are lucky that it runs at all on your old OS version. Sorry.

I also get this error anytime I run SH, or do a manual check for updates. I'm running on a MacBook Pro (2008 model), using Snow Leopard v.10.6.8.
My install of SH 0.9.2 Beta is a new install, as I just recently got a data capable CPAP, and had never installed any previous versions of SleepyHead.

Thanks!
George

P.S. - This software is awesome!
