Howdy. I've suspected for years that I've had OSA but never had the insurance to cover a sleep study. Finally last April I had managed to save enough to pay cash to have the study done. It of course came back positive with a recommended setting of 12. My step dad donated his old machine to me and I had been using it 100% faithfully until it took a crap right before Christmas. Still not having insurance I tried to get by without treatment but the lack of sleep was soon taking its toll once again. We scraped up the money and I ordered a new IntelliPAP AutoAdjust online. It showed up today.
I was hoping there would be more info in the box on how to get the settings where I need them to be but alas there are not. I've put in calls to both the local DME but so far neither has called back and it doesn't look great as far as their knowledge of Devilbiss machines. They seem to mostly deal with Resmed. I've also put in a call to my sleep center but she doesn't have any experience in them either.
Can anyone here try and walk me through how to adjust the pressure settings from the factory preset of 4-20. Since I'm at 12 I think I should probably be at 10-14 if everything I've read so far is correct.
One reason this machine appealed to me is the fact that I can read the data myself so I can be in charge of my own health.
Thanks,
Looking for sleep in Michigan *yawn*

Check your private message box. I sent you a link for the provider/clinical manual for your new machine.
I don't use this brand machine so I can't be more help..sorry. Hopefully there is enough information in the clinical manual to get you started on figuring out your machine.
We do have a forum member...Emilia...who is well versed in this machine since she uses it and I bet when she logs in and sees your thread she will respond with additional hints. I think she has some informational stuff already compiled to help with understanding what you have.
Welcome to the forum. You have a great machine there. It won't be long before you are up and running with it set up to suit your needs.

Thank you Pugsy. I did see her posts helping someone else and I was hoping she would chime in here. Off to read and play with my new toy.

Also a GIANT thank you to jpickle.
I got the pressure setting set to 10-14 based on the 12 that the sleep center recommended. I'm gonna sleep with that a few nights and I'm sure I'll be back with more questions. I am a data geek and I really think that I will enjoy being able to optimize my machine for its full worth.

I've bookmarked your info as well Pugsy. When I glanced at it the first time I thought it was just the basic manual they sent. Upon further viewing I see it is the in-depth manual. I feel so much better knowing I'm on the path to some good sleep.

Hi zinkemomx2 and welcome to our small, but loyal DeVilbiss family on the forum! I will PM you with some links to downloads.... You don't show that you have the SmartLInk software, but you can get basics from the Smart Codes to plug into the web tool. If you plan to get the software/module/SD card, you also have an alternative software called Sleepyhead, written by a forum member.
Good luck with the new machine..... check your PM shortly....

Yes, that blue eyed beauty is my cat! He is a seal point, bi-color Ragdoll. I adopted him in '08 from folks who could no longer care for him. He is a joy and makes me smile each and every day.

Yeah I couldn't quite swing a new machine, replacement mask (the other one was 8 months old) and software all at the same time. Since I had NO data before I figured I would start with what the site offered and go from there.
Now I'm off to tuck myself in and I am looking forward to my first good nights sleep in about 6 weeks.
