Can anyone in Toronto help me?

Post by suntan » Sun Feb 26, 2006 6:06 am

G'Morning All! I am seeking to purchase a Pulse Oximeter, mostly for my husband who has a variety of medical problems, but also for me to keep a check on my saturation level. As we are seniors on a fixed income, it would be preferable to find a used or refurbished machine. We just want the finger clip variety, and wondered if anyone in TO. could advise us as to where to find one for a reasonable price. All replies will be much appreciated! Thanks! I love this site!
If it is to be it is up to me!

Hi, you might have better luck with a Google (advanced) search with 'Canada (vs Toronto) in the search'.

Best source is eBay - search on eBay using as search field argument either Nellcor or Ohmeda or both

(Nellcor,Ohmeda) can be entered into eBay search & it will look for both.

You are obviously wanting a finger type but be careful as many of these can be pretty hard to sleep with unless you can fit a long extension, then there is the issue of getting the data.

NightHawk has lots of posts on this topic of using a P.O. He and I both have ex hospital P.O. units with very long leads & can store a nights data.

Cheers
