Where did the data go on my S9 machine?

Post by Marielle3 » Thu Jan 19, 2012 7:20 pm

Anyone have suggestions on why my S9 suddenly has no data on the over 3 months of use before last night? It was recording every night up until last night when I replaced the ClimateLine hose on it. Woke up this morning and only 1 days record showed in the clinical mode report.

Did you look at the settings to see if Sleep Quality_Period_Last Night_1 Day?

When I answered, I was assuming you are referring to the data on your machine's screen. Do you download your SD card to your computer?

Yes, under Clinical Mode I selected Sleep Quality, then Period, then 1 day/1 week/1 month/3 months, and they are all the same. They just show 1 day, whereas before last night I could see the whole sleep history of 3 months showing. Do you think the machine itself is malfunctioning? It doesn't seem like attaching a new hose should make it lose data.

Thanks apneawho - just saw your other reply. Yes I'm referring to my machine's screen. I don't have the software to download the SD card data to my computer yet, although would love to be able to do that so I could see more detailed information.

If you provided your SD card to your DME at the same time as you got a new ClimateLine hose they may have placed updates to the configuration of your unit on the card to be loaded into the machine. This process of loading a new configuration on the card to update the machine does erase all the information stored.

Look at the link under my signature for the software. For the other issue, try unplugging your machine from power source for 30 seconds. Plug back in and see if a reboot will reset your machine. I don't think changing the climate line would affect anything, but sometimes our machines need a reboot.

STL Mark - I didn't give the SD card to my DME when they sent the new hose. I've been using this card for 1 month now, so I guess maybe it only has that much data recorded on it? The machine screen, however, has been showing usage from the beginning until last night. Do new cards record all the usage on the machine or just from when they are first inserted?

apneawho - Thanks, I'll try unplugging and rebooting.

Thanks too for the link to the software. Will this work on a Mac? Looks like ResMed asks you to register and wants an organization name and customer number, which I don't have.

10-4 on rebooting those ResMed machines.

Mine will get all kinds of weird if I don't reboot once in a while. I got into the habit of unplugging it each weekend while I wash my mask.

I have to take a second look each time I install the SD card too, sometimes it does not "lock" into position correctly when I push it in and it will slide back out enough to not work.

ResScan doesn't really care about organization names etc.. on that register page you can put anything down and it will then let you download. ResScan is a Windows based program and to get it to run on a Mac you have to set up a Windows virtual environment for it...something like Parallels or Bootcamp.

SleepyHead which has software written by one of our forum members does have a Mac version available though. Look for recent Jimbo's Mac builds.

Thanks Pugsy for the links and information about the software.
