CraigC,
The exact question you are posing today is what I asked back in 1999 when I was first diagnosed. I started with a nose-only mask that had comfy gel, but because of mouth breathing I needed the full-face.
I was given a Mirage S2 Series Full Face which was VERY disappointing in the day because unlike the comfy gel masks this thing reminded me of a piece of hard tuperware on my head
I honestly started calling every vendor (manufacturer) I could find on the Internet in quest for the elusive gel-based full face mask. I received the same answer from vendor after vendor--which was:
You are like the 1,000 patient that has called us about a gel-based full face mask. You would think it would be in our R&D by now with so many requests, but I can attest it's NOT even in R&D at this point, but we have at least started a list of names of those requesting!
As far as I know (and someone please correct me) there are NO VENDORS making a full face gel-based mask. Perhaps some of the clever engineers out there that tinker with custom or homemade jobs have hurdled this obstacle, but I am unware of any at the moment.
Thanks!
