Machine settings different for nasal mask vs full face?

I have been really struggling with my full face mask. I have tried liners and the padacheek strap and still no luck. I am going to try a nasal mask from the CPAP library trial. Does anyone know if my machine has to be set differently? I know I cannot change the settings myself but I am just curious to know in case this mask works and I change to it all the time. Thanks for any info.

your machine does not have a mask setting.
