Re: Is it normal to have an increase of CSAs when starting CPAP?

Put your machine back on the prescribed pressure and use it for a week while you adjust the Humidity, Ramp and EPR.

You just named 2 search terms you can search. Wear the mask while you are awake reading or watching tv to get used to it. Try the different levels of EPR and aim for the lowest level that feels comfortable. Humidity is also entirely individual. The only way to find out what works for you is to try various settings. For some humidity causes congestion, for others it eliminates it.
Slow down and read and let your brain get used to the machine.

Not cool. It's called a PRIVATE message for a reason.

Yes, here I am. How may I be of help?

Perpacity, don't worry if someone posted publicly something you sent in a private message. There is a history of that on this board when it is a question about PAP therapy, so that others can benefit from the answers to the question and still others can chime in.

As Ozij once said when quoting Snoredog (it still makes me grin to type that) :
ozij on August 26, 2010 wrote:Just make sure you do your cpap related posting in public, since, to use a quote that will ring a bell for many of the oldtimers . . . :
Snoredog wrote:"In public, if I suggest something that isn't quite kosher, you can be assured there will be someone else to come along like -<names snipped out puposely> to let not only me but more importantly YOU know it isn't right."
In other words, an answer given in public is an answer that can be corrected by others.

And unlike other boards, there ARE no stupid questions here. It's all good. Relax. Post. And learn. It's cool. No need to delete.

I smelled a TROLL with his initial post and read his previous posts. The smell got stronger. But I gave him the benefit of the doubt with a short answer. Then I got a PRIVATE message.
Here is the entire PRIVATE message which I did edit and replyed that I was moving it to his thread so other members might be able to help him.

I suppose that I could get back on valium to help me sleep through this, but I dont have immediate access to these medications. Any resources or search terms that you could point me too would be wonderful.
Thanks in advance,
Anthony
