BCBS NM and humidifiers

Anyone have experience with BCBS and coverage of humidifiers? In a high desert location like my part of the State and with a prescription, BCBS is still not paying for my humidifier. I can't imagine anyone here NOT having one, so now I'm billed for almost all of the cost. Grrrrr! Of I could afford to just buy al the gear, I would. The DME also said nothing to me about any possibility of insurance paying for the gel comfort (Gecko like) pad. And I got the older SeQual one from Amazon and it's made such a difference. And it's less than half the cost of a Gecko - what's that about?
