Ear problems

Post by Puddin » Sun Feb 19, 2006 5:14 pm

Has anyone had any problem with their ears since being on the machine? I get this pressure and fullness in my right ear. Dr. said ear is OK but has slight hearing loss. When I was off the machine for 2 months because I couldn't breathe because of allergies, my ear was fine. After starting back on the bipap, it came back. Dr. lowered pressure from 18 to 14. That has helped the pain in my upper abdomen/rib area.

Yes, I sometimes get ear problems, and I'm at a very low pressure. If I get my humidifier above 2 or 3, I think I get moisture in my ear canal, and my ear gets plugged - just as if I was in an airplane.

As long as my humidifier is set on 1, I'm okay.

I have had ear problems all my life with earaches, infections as a child, and hearing loss.
