Hi everyone,
I've done lots of research on this forum to figure out side-sleeping. I've tried everything from pillow between the legs to wearing a backpack to prevent myself from sleeping on my back. None of those has worked very well. I know many people here use wedges, but does anyone here use a total body pillow? I'd love to hear your thoughts on it.
Here's an example of a total body pillow: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002ER ... r_asin_lnk. Key benefit would be comfortable side sleeping for those of us who move around a lot or who prefer back sleeping.
Or perhaps even this: http://www.amazon.com/Todays-Mom-Comfor ... 001A0M3LI/. It's marketed towards pregnant women, but hey, if it helps me get better sleep, I'll use any and all pregnant women's products!

Re: Total body pillow & side sleeping
hi chairmango
i havent tried it, i just wanted to say I did a review of a similar logic pillow and i had found a comment from a lady who was happy with the pillow but who started having fights with her husband because of it, because she was very comfortable with the specific pillow she was talking about but he got annoyed over time that he can not hug her or cuddle with her, etc, so it created relationship issues
so just a warning

You could test out the concept to see if it helps you before you buy the real thing, by putting a regular pillow on either side of you (as well as under your head).
I did that years ago when I was expecting, and it's so comfy that I never stopped.

Re: Total body pillow & side sleeping
I bought and tried a "body pillow" about a month ago, it was similar to the one you linked, except it did not have the bit coming down at the back, but it is a long pillow that you sort of cuddle - lengthwise.chairmango wrote: does anyone here use a total body pillow? It was great to go to sleep with - but my oximeter told me otherwise, I obviously still rolled over on my back around 3am and so desaturated. So I must admit it looked like the perfect solution to back sleeping, and it sure is comfortable but it didn't stop my "reptilian brain" thinking it was a good idea to roll on my back.
Similar to a previous post, it is like having a 3rd person in the bed, so if your share your bed - it needs to be KING size!
They are probably great for pregnant women though.
I now have a very long pillow - that is a rather large failed experiment, unless I get pregnant!
Regards, Geoff

Chairmango,
I have to agree with Kiwi, great to cuddle with, but I doubt that it would stop you from rolling to your back. Even if you wedged it in back. I think most people use them in front.
I know lots of people use Buckwheat pillows and I've been thinking that a nice large heavy buckwheat pillow might be good propped up against your back.

Edit: Sorry, didn't look at the link before I posted. That actually does look like it would work as long as you were alone in the bed...

Oh, my God, I want one! That looks so comfortable. I see you use nasal pillows so you wouldn't have any issues with the mask. People with FF masks probably would have a hard time b/c no place to hang the mask off of.
