Re: S9 AutoSet Build Date
Why does it matter...the S9 has only been around for about 12-18 months

Re: S9 AutoSet Build Date
I didn't know how long it has been around and I'm thinking of buying a used one and wanted to know when it was built so I can tell how old it is.

Re: S9 AutoSet Build Date
I believe the build date is on the silver stamp label on the back of the machine.

Re: S9 AutoSet Build Date
There is nothing on the plate. I'm thinking it has something to do with the first numbers on the serial number. the first numbers on my machine are 2211 which probably means Feb.2, 2011.

Re: S9 AutoSet Build Date
You would be better to go into the clinicians menu and check the HOURS used.

Re: S9 AutoSet Build Date
Maybe you can listen to the humidifier for that clicking noise some have mentioned.
That might be a newer humidifier. --but not better.

Re: S9 AutoSet Build Date
The service screen on the older ones will have a SW (software) SX474-0602, and that is the only thing displayed on that screen.
Newer units on the service screen will have a SW SX474-0903, Followed by a BID SX525-0300, along with VID and RID numbers.

Re: S9 AutoSet Build Date
I've just bought a new machine, the serial number also starts with 2211, Lot 275184 if that helps.squid13 wrote:There is nothing on the plate. I'm thinking it has something to do with the first numbers on the serial number. the first numbers on my machine are 2211 which probably means Feb.2, 2011.

Re: S9 AutoSet Build Date
The water chamber has a date and time on it. Hopefully they were packaged at the same time.

Re: S9 AutoSet Build Date
I just bought an S9 AutoSet with 79 hours on it for $450. The water tank said March 28, 2010. Got a Swift FX mask with it and slim line hose. Still had all the clear tape on it to protect the surfaces. It was a middle age woman who said her sleep test was horrible and couldn't stand anything on her face. I'll use it for a backup machine.

I got my S9 Autoset brand new in July 2011 and it has SX474-0602 (the older number) on the service screen.

Re: S9 AutoSet Build Date
This is what I see on the service screen on an original S9 Autoset:
The same screen on a unit shipped in November:

Changes in the service screen would indicate a more recent build date however would not provide an actual date.

My ResMed S9 AutoSet manufactured on 10-18-11 in Sydney shows the same information as your 2nd screen above.
But, it also has another line as follows:
HID SX496-0212
Does anyone have any idea what the VID, RID, and HID items are?
As shown on your 2nd screen above and also on my Service screen, the Run Hours have been moved from the "Sleep Report" screen to the "Service" screen.
On the older machine, the Run Hours on the "Sleep Report" screen were in tenths (i.e. 220.7 hours).
Now the Run Hours on the "Service" screen are in whole numbers only (i.e. 221 hours).
Seems like a step backwards to me.

Re: S9 AutoSet Build Date
Mine is definitely an earlier model; I ordered it from our hosts a year ago yesterday.
I wonder if there's any lookup on release dates of the various machine brands/models; so we can tell what's really OLD;
and how old-especially when shopping for a pre-owned back-up or travel model--or even dealing with any seller.
