thanks for giving me ownership
thanks for giving me ownership
I wandered inthe world of pap 1 week ago, stumbled into good equipment. reading here made me see the only way this was going to work was to researh and try things with an open mind. I practiced when I was not going to sleep, told myself to be patient and just let it be. sleeping all night most nights with the pap on.I tried to figure out what really bothered me the most- its not the air or the straps! its the dang tubing and the feel of the silicone on my face! I challenged myself to follow the lead of those on this list and try to fix my main issues. I just made a short hose snuggle for FX and a prototype of a liner to go on my upper lip. time will tell if that helps but in the mean time, thanks so much for giving me owernship!

Good job, Yeti!
That's how it's done.

I'll agree! This place really helped me during those initial claustrophobic weeks when all I wanted to do was chuck the whole collection out the window!

Way to go, Yeti!
For most people, the problem with "doing cpap" is not the machine or the pressure. It's almost all about THE MASK.
For you, it was the tubing AND the mask. Glad to hear you're lab-ratting diligently away at the problems.
Do, please, keep us posted how it goes for you. What you write can be very helpful to other new cpap users.

Re: thanks for giving me ownership
Sounds like you're off to a great start! The way you phrase it--ownership--is what I've been trying to put my finger on, as that's exactly how I'm finally starting to feel.
