I'm a bit dissapointed as I've only had it about 2 years and used it for about 6-8 nights.
I wondered if anyone has managed to successfully aquire and replace the battery in this oximeter?

I think i had something like this going on, you notice i broke the wires going to the speaker by mistake. The unit displayed some kind of system menu, it looked like it had taken a big boys reset.Snuff-L-Reddy wrote:Hi Bob
I tried to see if the Manufacturer could be of help Below is their response. I have one suggestion you may try. With NiMh batts if it goes completely dead, sometimes it can be revived by "jump starting" with a charged batt of no greater voltage. Briefly touching +to+ & -to-. Not sure if it would work with Li batts. but may be worth a try.
Thant would be great Emilia.Emilia wrote:I bought my CMS50E from the pulseoxstore so I sent them an email to ask if they can recommend a replacement battery brand/type/model#. I'll let you know what I find out.

So, You can use any 3.7v Li-ion battery to replace it.
I would think a battery meeting these criteria should suffice:Emilia wrote: .... easier to match it with volts, Ah and shape.
Yes. This is just a normal li-ion battery. Any mobilephone or mp3 battery can be used to replace this.-SWS wrote:PulseOximeter wrote:622838 620mAh H6.2mm W28.5mm L38.5mm 3.7V

1) Lithium Ion (Li-Ion) type
2) 650 mAh or slightly more (maybe around 1100 mAh or less)
3) built-in charging circuit that works with USB-level voltage (common to MP3 players, GPS, mobile phones, oximeters)
4) physical package equal to or smaller than original (or mount/attach a larger battery package outside casing)
5) wiring leads attached for convenience
So maybe....

Well, maybe Uncle Bob is better off sticking with a two-lead 3.7 Li-Ion package that can charge using USB-level voltage. I just noticed this one has three leads, so I suspect it might not be as suitable as the two-lead Li-Ion batteries:PulseOximeter wrote: Yes. This is just a normal li-ion battery. Also, the batteries with leads already attached obviate soldering. Just splice and tape at that low-level current rating.
