Hi,

I've just had the call from my pulmonologist's secretary and been told I have sleep apnia (not a surprise). They want to start me on a titration level of 10 ad then have another sleep study done in a month.

First a question for you is the remstar pro 2 the same as the remstar pro plus the humidifier? I can't find a listing for the remstar pro 2 on my provider's website.

I'm thinking of getting the remstar pro 2 plus a ComfortFull 2 Full Face Mask since I'm a mouth breather. With all software needed. What do you guys think of this choice? Any recommendations or comments? I mostly sleep sitting up, but hope that can change. I'm not designed to sleep on my stomach and do occasionally sleep on my side. Is the face mask suitable for sleeping on your side?

I'm hoping to manage my own settings once I'm comfortable with the gear. I was lucky to get enough sleep for the sleep test. I've never been able to sleep very well in strange places.

Have I missed anything I should be asking?

Thanks
Liz

The Pro2 can capture more data than the Pro which only captures basic compliance information. Both are basic CPAP only machines and both take the same humidifier.

The Remstar Auto can do straight CPAP and APAP. See if you can get one of those as it'll do the basic job and give you added capability in case you want to utilize it in the future.

More than the Plus too. As far as data capture goes, the Pro 2 is equivalent to the Auto.
