Buying an APAP w/ out prescription?

Post by patrick1532 » Mon Feb 13, 2006 10:53 am

Hi all-

I'd like to purchase an Auto titrating device but don't have a prescription to do so. I've looked on yahoo and overstock auctions but haven't come across any APAP devices. Does anybody have advice on where I can get one? I'm not concerned about a new vs. used unit but would like one of the newer and smaller Respironics or Resmed devices.

Thanks in Advance-

Hi

Where are you? And, do you mean a Resmed S7 would be ok, or do you mean it must be an S8?

Any generic prescription for a CPAP (i.e. not specifying a specific machine) will cover an APAP, which is just an auto-titrating CPAP.
