Congratulations.

Make sure you don't try to cheat on hours of usage per day. DOT inspectors will look at your medical card and the first thing they will want is to check your compliance usage. You don't want a 34 hour red flag sticker just to make you use your machine.

Guess you did. I mention the DOT inspectors because not too long ago one of the drivers, that works for the same company that my husband works for, did get a nice 34 hour red flag sticker for blowing off using his machine.

It happened not 2 hours after he was bragging to my husband that he "never used that damn machine" "they never check that stuff". He happened to be chosen at random for a little mini inspection at weigh station.
One look at his medical card and the next thing out of the DOT man's mouth was..."let's check your machine."
My husband found out because they have the same dispatcher.

Since he couldn't prove compliance they made him do a 34 hour restart right there at the weigh station.
Not only did he not have the usual comforts of the truck stop, he lost the miles and money he would have made. Wheels don't turn mean no money being made not to mention the safety hazard.
