"Calibrate"?

Hello guys. Please indulge me with one more answer:
Can anyone tell me what the "Calibrate" option on the clinical menu of the resmed "S" series do? (I'm assuming the cinical menu is similar on all S series).
Mine is set at 1.13, and is the only option I don't understand what's for.
Any insight would be great.
