How do you organize your data? anyone with a pivot Table?

Post by ejackson1200 » Thu Sep 22, 2011 7:27 pm

Time to start getting a little more organized with the data. I'd like to see if nasal pillows leak work better or the Quattro FX or a hybrid as the first two don't seem to be very effective? Does the timing of the last dose of medication matter? Is his apnea positional?

How do the rest of you organize your day to day data to try and come to some conclusions?

I'm trying an OpenOffice spreadsheet with a row for each night; columns for various meds, headaches, use of chinstrap, TMJ splint, mask or nasal pillow, pressure setting etc. and then columns for all the CPAP parameters, so I can graph CAs for example separately over time. But its a pain to keep up with and I'm not sure how useful it will really be. I think it's only when you collect the trends over long periods of time that you can get an idea of whats going on. A food log turned out to be instrumental in tracking down migraine triggers.

Back when SilverLining (for the Puritan Bennett machines) gave me detailed csv files, I did indeed use pivot tables.
