Encore Pro 2 Question

Post by Buford » Sat Sep 10, 2011 12:10 pm

So perhaps I have things working, I think I have 2 smart card assigned to my self.

When I list my recent days sometimes I have a blue squiggle on the far right and if I click on it I get a wave form report for that day. No squiggle, no wave form report.

How, when, who, what decides to gather the extra data? With a 32 GB data card and a 1TB hard drive in my laptop why not a wave form report every day?

What gods do I need to pray to?

Instead of the fixed 7/15 rx on my Bipap I set things to 7/10-25 auto. Please nobody tell J. Edgar Hoover.

Encore Pro only downloads the most recent wave data when you process. It will download all of the pressure/event data that has not been previously downloaded so you can look at that data for any of the days covered.

So ... if you download every other day, you get wave data every other day.

If you travel and really, really want the wave data for all the days on travel, then take enough of the small SD cards so you can use a new one for each day. When you get home, set the computer date to the first day of the trip and download that card to Pro. Set the date to the next day, load the next card, etc. for all the days.
Finally, set the computer to the correct current day and away you go.
A real hassle but it works.

If someone else has a simpler scheme for this problem, I would appreciate a post detailing it.

SleepyHead downloads everything so you can go look at older data that may be omitted from Pro.

The formats between the two programs are quite different as is the window of hours used in calculting the AHI, etc.
So you will see some differences in AHI, etc. values between them.

We don't know exactly why Pro doesn't pick up the wave form data for each day it is generated. I have waited 3 days between downloads and had wave form data for 2 out of 3 nights. I have waited 2 days and only had 1 night. I have waited 5 nights and had 3 nights (not consecutive) of wave form.

Downloading to Pro every single day doesn't always guarantee wave form either. Sometimes it just doesn't show up in Pro but it will show up in SleepyHead.

I know this isn't what you wanted to here because your whole idea with the mega sized SD card was not having to download every day but it is what it is.. Either use Pro daily if wave form is critical to you or use SleepyHead as it will show waveform if the file is there no matter how long.
