No more headrest?
No more headrest?
I just heard that the company that makes the "Headrest" went out of business. Is that true? That's the only mask that's ever really worked for me. Should I order several as backups or do you think another company will start making it?

Re: No more headrest?
Yes, Aeiomed (that made the Headrest) did go out of business.
I don't think any other company will start making it, but that's just my guess.
There are still some available at online stores.
cpapshopper has them at the lowest prices I've seen for the Headrest lately (and free shipping.) I think cpap.com has them, too, and will price match.
Yes, I'd definitely buy up several. I already have about a dozen Headrests in my own cache...enough to last me the rest of my life since the nasal pillows for the Headrest can last literally a year or more. And with the extra strap I use to cradle the pillows, I can use both the pillow sizes that come with it...the Med and the Large. It's pretty easy to find other Headrest owners who will trade pillow sizes, too.
I started collecting them and storing them when that mask first came out and it suited me sooooo well. Right from the start I was afraid a small company wouldn't stand a chance in the long run against the big established manufacturers, and I didn't ever want to be without my favorite mask.
