Good Luck! I was one of the lucky ones. 100% compliant since day 1. Now in my 2nd year.... I will not give up my CPAP for anything... including sex!

Wishing you healthy breathing and sweet dreams!

I just got mine Tuesday. I feel different in the mornings but still dozey at times at work. I plan to get extra time on the supercharger this weekend.

Good luck,

Thanks everyone. Used it the entire night last night! Woke up one or 2 times but went right back to sleep. The only thing I noticed was it felt like I was swallowing air when it first started - kept feeling the need to belch.

Not sure I feel any real difference this morning or not, but at least I was able to keep it on all night! I want to read the information it gathered overnight but hubby is still sleeping and I don't want to wake him.

Good job! This CPAP is really worth doing. My first few nights have been good. Last night I think I had more leaks and AHIs than before. It will get easier.

You might try using the ramp feature if it is enabled. I started at 20 min ramp but found that I was starving for oxygen so I changed it to 5.

I did have the ramp feature on - keep belching this morning! wonder if I did swallow air?

Aerophagia is common when you first start out and with higher pressures.
What pressure are you using?
What did the DME set the EPR at?
Do you feel like youare breathing naturally or like the machine is telling you when to inhale and exhale?
The EPR can be adjusted to your comfort level, and may help with the aerophagia.

My pressure is only at 9 with a 20 minute ramp up from 4 to 9.

You can do a search on aerophagia on the forum and come up with a whole lot of information. Hope you're doing well. Good for you for sticking to using the machine when it's not easy. Your pressure is not very high, but that doesn't mean you won't have this problem.
