I tried taking the Lunasta both Thursday and Friday night. I was able to fall asleep (yeah!) with the mask on both nights and Friday actually woke up with it on. Took a short nap on Sunday and kept it on the whole time.
My biggest complaint is that I continue to go to the bathroom 5 to 6 times a night and even the sleeping pill didn't help that. In fact, I only used the 2 pills. I've talked with the dr. about the bathroom issue, and she says that this will all resolve itself. The going to the bathroom was the original problem that I brought up with the dr., more than 2 years ago, asking if there were something to help with that as I'm only able to sleep an hour to an hour and a half without waking up to use the bathroom.
Well, she has told me this for the last time. I have an appt. with a new dr. for 2/6. This board has helped me see that dragging this out is ridicules and that there are answers out there.
Thanks to all of you who have responded to everyone's questions. To go back and go over what has been talked about in the past has been a huge help. You are doing great work and influencing the lives of total strangers, although I'm beginning to see that hoseheads have a unique bond.
Thanks,
Trixielou

Slowly getting better
Hi, I wouldn't assume the bathroom problem is related at all to your apnea or meds. There are many 'conditions' that cause nocturia (having to go a lot at nite) and you need to be checked out by a specialist (and probably have a cystoscopy, which is no big deal at all).
