What's the best mask?
What's the best mask?
I've been using the Swift with the nasal pillows and they drive me crazy! I feel like my nose is scrunched up all night, and i've tried loosening it! I want to try a different mask without the pillows. There's so many out there and it's confusing me! I don't need anything that covers the mouth.
Re: What's the best mask?
If you have no idea where to start, go to a local DME and try some on. If you find a good fit there, take it and use it at home. You have 30 days to trade out for another and then another 30 days on that one, etc. until you find a good fit that works for you.

If there was a 'best' mask, everyone would be using it. It's a personal choice...you need to try several until you find one that you are comfortable with. There are MANY nasal masks to try.

Re: What's the best mask?
I agree with apneawho, try a DME and burn through a bunch of masks in 30 days if you have to. Sounds like nasal mask is what you are looking for. You could use cpap.com to see what the best sellers are as a good place to start but there is no guarantee the most popular will work for you. It really is to each his own, I thought the Swift FX was excellent but I am a mouth breather and had to go to FF.

I also Agree with apneawho. As your facial structure is different from everyone else, you will there for need to find a mask that works for you. There is no Best mask.apneawho wrote:If you have no idea where to start, go to a local DME and try some on. If you find a good fit there, take it and use it at home. Good luck.

Re: What's the best mask?
The best mask is the mask you can wear comfortably all night, every night with little leakage. As stated we all have different facial structure. Some of us are mouth breathers and prefer a FFM, some prefer nasal pillows. I use a Total Face Mask as the bridge of my nose is sensitive to breakdown and I'm a mouth breather.
