FFM Help

Post by yankeenoles » Wed Aug 24, 2011 8:13 am

I recently just switch from the RESMED Quattro(MED) to the Fisher & Paykel FlexiFit 432(MED). I switched from the Quattro because the mask kept leaking and I was losing therapy. The issue I am now having with the F&P mask is that I am getting a sore at the bridge of my nose. My DME agent brought me out a gel pad to use with the mask but this has not helped. I really like this F&P mask as I finally feel that after 1 year my therapy is finally working, but I cannot deal with the sores at the bridge of my nose. I have also tried the RESMED Quattro FX (SM) and cant seem to sleep with that mask, it causes my nose to itch uncontrollably through out the night. Is there anything else anyone can suggest to try with the F&P mask? Should I maybe try different size masks with the Quattro or Quattro FX or does anyone have any suggestions or does anyone have any other mask suggestions?

Have you tried a mask liner? Go to padacheeks.com or remzzzs.com. I use Karens liners at padacheeks, she is a member and a patient here on the forum, so knows what the problems are with this therapy.
Started cpap in 2010.. still at it with great results.

I also recommend Pad-a-Cheek mask liners. They helped my mask fitting issues, are very comfortable, and best of all, long lasting!

I have not tried any of the mask liners. I have gone online and cheked and it does appear that they have a bridge nose protector for my F&P Mask. I may order one and try it out. Hopefully that will work better than the gel pad that my DME brought me.
