I'm just about to hit my 2000th hour of APAP treatment, and I have to say my quality of life has improved in so many ways by this device. I am never tired until I go to bed at night now. I am happier. More energetic. Thinking better. Memory improved. Pain is less. Thank you all for the info and discussions!
I have slept for a total of 4 or 5 hours without CPAP in those 2000 hours, and that was when I had to take an unexpected nap on a delayed plane flight.
For those wondering: I started noticing improvements on day one, and things just got better from there.
Special thanks to Derek for his great software!

Hooray for CPAP!
I just passed the 5,700 hour mark on mine, and have never felt better. I just wish more people could have the positive results I've had.
i am just about to hit 2,500 on this Pro2 I own after about 700 on the one i returned to the dme. I only have missed a week when i was on an island in Maine with no electricity which I will not do again, this is going to require a solution before summer. I have packed it for over twenty trips and am averaging about 7 hrs/. I too appreciate the software and have been working on my own little evaluation over the past two months, after I finally took the time to learn how informative and powerful it is. I am trying to figure out whether I really need an autobi if I can find the right 'notch' with the software. I still lean to an auto.
I feel better than in over 10 years much being from the control of apnea and other from control of blood cancer.
peace and thanks from an avid lurker.
