I'm thinking of buying an autopap from cpap.com and trying to get reimbursed from my insurance company, which is Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield. Has anyone had any experience with this way of buying and insurance reimbursement? It would be beneficial to the insurance company as the price to buy one is much less than they are being charged for a CPAP on a rental basis.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thank you.

cpap.com Anthem BC reimbursement?
I'm not sure how Anthem BCBS compares to my BCBS of Texas - but I was able to get my equipment through billmyinsurance.com - which is part of cpap.com, just they help you file with the insurance. They can investigate for you and they will also let you know if you would be better off buying direct through cpap.com, depending on deductibles and copays.
I would give them a call - their customer service people are great. The person I've worked with is Bonnie, but I know all their folks are very friendly, and they are VERY prompt in responding.
You mention getting an AutoPAP - most insurance companies require your doc's prescription to specifically say autoPAP - just an FYI.
Best of luck to you!

Hi! Alex Here. New to all this and awaiting my shipment from Billmyinsurance.com. They were pretty good and researched what BC/BS was able to pay for based on my policy. Any item that is available on cpap.com is available through billmyinsurance.com. The lady told me that they do mark it up a bit so my cpap.com total of 1000.00 and change ended up being 1300 to the insurance company. Not too shabby really, considering some of the other internet procing was upwards around 1800 for the same stuff.
They were really nice and answered my questions before I even started the process. Good luck!
