What are normal O2 levels for each stage of sleep? You have stage 1, 2, 3, 4, and REM.

Normal levels when you are alive, including sleeping, are 95 - 100%.

Agreed. At least that's why my pulmonologist told me when I showed him my oximetry data. The level varies during the night, and the variation becomes markedly greater during periods of REM sleep. Doc pointed out the ragged areas in the oximetry trace and said that that sort of pattern corresponds with periods of REM sleep. Usually 4-5 periods per night.

The cat fight I see the same thing my centrals seem to be REM specific. Even with the ASV on, I see choppiness in the SP02 and heart rate about every other hour, during which I used to have deep SPO2 desaturation. But you have better SPO2 numbers. Mine ride in the low 90's.
EPAP min=6, EPAP max=15, PS min=3, PS max=12, Max Pressure=30, Backup Rate=8 bpm, Flex=0, Rise Time=1,

My doctor was not happy with my having an SaO2 of 92%, as my baseline is 99% (final scores to be announced, but that's what the estimate).

However it is important to point out that it is the REM sleep which causes the apneas (of various sorts) and thereby the O2 drop not vice versa.

You can Google Contec CMS 50E or just go to Amazon.com. They seem to have the best price at the moment. $93 including shipping.

There are other versions of oximeter. Some folks prefer the (more expensive) wristwatch version. Ask around and you'll get plenty of feedback.
