Running Low on Water

Post by Isaacrn » Wed Aug 10, 2011 4:57 pm

Well, I wanted to see if any of you have this issue. I have raised my Humidity Level to 4, due to frequent dry mouth, which im pretty sure isnt related to open mouth. I have a setting of 9 on the cpap. Today, I woke up after about 5 hrs of sleep, and noticed my full tank, was actually empty. This means, Im not making it to the morning. I do have the hose snuggy. Any way other than turning down the setting to keep some gas in the tank?

Why do you think you are not mouth breathing?

Unless you live in the driest of dessert climates you are mouth breathing. The PR S1 set in default mode uses very little water, generally. So if you are experiencing dry mouth and going through a lot of water, chances are very high that you are mouth breathing. I could go close to a week on one tank of water on a setting of 5.

Have you taken a look at your data with SOFTWARE??? The screen info will not tell you enough. Remember there is free open source software available here (Onkor and Sleepyhead), so you should take a look.

It sounds more like you are mouth breathing. I am a mouth breather so use a home made chin strap. it helps me a lot.
In the summer here in Minnesota it gets pretty humid so I keep my humidifier down low and usually go through a tank of water in 2 weeks maybe a little less. But in the winter it gets dry here and then I go through a tank every 2 days.
