Another new treatment

Post by Bodhi » Fri Aug 05, 2011 7:50 pm

Saw this on Google newsfeed.
Anyone used Provent?
It attaches to the nostrils. One inhales normally but upon exhale the vents close which increases pressure which in turn helps prevent the the airway from closing. This report says that users get a 50% reduction in AHI.
I don't have any trouble using xPAP therapy, but for those who never can adjust, this may be something to look into.

That looks a bit too good to be true to me. I am skeptical. But still I would love to try it!

Provent is not new. goldfinch is the only person on the forum who mentioned they were going to try the therapy. If you go to their web page there is a form for a seven day trial that your doc has to fill out. Why don't you try it and let us know? If you do a search on this forum there are numerous posts about Provent Therapy.
