Finally using bipap all the time

Post by dusty0318 » Sun Jul 24, 2011 11:28 pm

It has taken months, but I am finally able to use the bipap machine each time I lay down to sleep. Even my afternoon naps. Now it feels funny if I don't put it on.

I had an asthma flare-up last week and had to go to the ER. This resulted in my returning to my family doc for a nebulizer. The respiratory therapist delivered it Thurs. or Friday. She also brought a recording oximeter and had me to sleep one night on the bipap with the monitor. She is coming back this week to provide me with some more education.

Wow! Congratulations. It sounds like you have a good DME provider w/a good RRT! Good luck w/your therapy!

Ditto! Sounds as if your hard work has paid off. Being able to use your BiPAP will help you maintain your energy and health.

Sorry about the need for the nebulizer. If it's not one thing, it's another, isn't it? But you can adjust to that, just as you did to BiPAP. Hopefully it won't be something that you need all that often.

dusty0318 I would like to ask you, because I see that you are using quattro mask. Isn't this a problem that this mask jumps on your face each inhale/exhale with changing pressure?
