SD card for PR System One auto

Post by Sireneh » Fri Jul 22, 2011 8:56 pm

Anyone know the size of the card that comes with the machine? It appears I've misplaced the original card and I have a 16MB card as a back-up for our camera that I can use. Thanks!

2GB, but any card should work in the interim.

The only restriction I can think of is this: The card must be a plain old SD card, not one of the new SDHC cards. At least that's what I've found with my PR S1 BiPAP.

Mine appeared to work with an SDHC card when I tried it as a test. Probably an 8 or 16GB, but I'm not sure about the size.

I agree that 2 GB SD is the "correct" choice. Buy a 2GB for "normal" reasons, but you can try an SDHC card if you can't get the right one in a pinch.

SD cards in general sometimes have quirks and sometimes a device will only work with one of two cards of the same size and type. I wouldn't really expect any problems with a 2 GB, but if one doesn't work, try another.

You can also try formatting the card on a PC if it won't work.

Well, I used the card and it worked just fine. I don't have any compliance issues so I don't need to keep data on the card for very long. 16 MB may just be fine for the long term; last night's data totalled 240 KB. Would sure like to know what happened to that other card, though!
