After 6 months & 5 masks, I have become so used to my apap that I cannot sleep without it. In my last post, my nose was killing me, so I now rotate among an Aura, Breeze, Swift and occasionally an Activa. Nose is OK most of the time.
I have Derek's software, and the SI (Snore index) seems quite low, but I can hear myself snore, especially when I'm am just going to sleep. I also will occasionally snort or "day snore" because I am sure ther is lots of tissue back there to work with.
My wife gave up sleeping in the same bed years ago, but can now sleep in the same room and says she doesn't hear much snoring.
I have the apap set at 8-15 and MyEncore says I spend most of my time at 11. Some nights I have no OSAs at all! Yet there is the suspicion of snoring. And the occasional tired morning, despite good (sub 3.5 events/hour).
Your thoughts?

Day snoring/snorting
SM,
Personally, I wouldn't (and I don't) worry about the snoring. In my case, I haven't been able to link it with anything. In fact, most of the times when I have a higher snore index, I have a low AHI.
Have you tried a fixed setting on your machine.....maybe 11?
If you haven't, you might try that for a period of time and see what the numbers look like.
Best wishes,
Den
